• Light Enough to Sweep

SmartBroom 4 weighs less than 400g - fully assembled with its 28.5mm carbon fibre handle and competition foam. Sweeping with a SmartBroom feels natural, and that’s all down to its incredible lightness. SmartBroom is a real broom, so it measures real sweeps, which reflect your real capability.

  • Precision Engineering

A SmartBroom gives you data you can rely on. SmartBroom 4 is the best in the business:

    • Variable measurement rate, up to 1 kHz
    • Measurement sensitivity: ≤ 20 g
    • Measurement accuracy: max error ≤ 1 % @FS (120kg); typical ≤ 0.5 % @FS (120kg)

  • Measure What Matters

You can’t improve what you can’t measure. If sweeping is important to your team, you need a SmartBroom.

  • Your Sweeps

The SmartBroom app saves every stroke and every sweep. Data can also be exported to .csv files.

The Best Broom

Beyond being the smartest broom; premium components, like a precision-machined aluminum load bar, and advanced engineering make SmartBroom the best broom in the world

  • Advanced Software

SmartBroom uses advanced software to make your life easier - we do the analysis for you. The raw data from the sensors is processed and analysed by algorithms directly on the device, and the user is shown information that is truly helpful.

  • All Day Power

SmartBroom uses a high-capacity rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that charges over a standard USB-C cable.

A full charge will enable multiple 10-end games of continuous data collection, or a full day training without needing a charge.

All Data, No Guesswork

The SmartBroom app shows you the true story of a sweep.

  • What is actually being putting into the ice?
  • How is that changing over time?
  • How does one sweep compare to another?
  • How does one athlete compare to another?

  • Force

The heart of SmartBroom is a set of highly accurate high-speed force sensors that measure the downward force applied to the ice while sweeping.  The data is presented as a 'push' force (the maximum within each stroke) and a 'pull' force (the minimum within each stroke).

  • Frequency

SmartBroom monitors your frequency, or stroke rate, in strokes/second. The more often the brush-head passes in the path of the stone, the more impact the sweeper can have on the stone

  • Plow

SmartBroom 4 automatically detects plowing, saving plows as their own stroke type.

  • Power

SmartBroom combines all the sweeping variables (push-force, pull-force, frequency) into one result, the SPI (Sweeping Performance Index). The SPI is the only standard for sweeping performance, and the only way to truly gauge overall sweeping effectiveness.

  • Designed in Canada

SmartBroom is designed and engineered in Canada.  It is already being used by the best teams in the world, and now it's available to you.

Technology of this calibre has never before been available to anyone but those at the very highest level, and with highest levels of funding.  With SmartBroom, everything has changed. Finally, your team, club, camp, or institution can train at the same levels as the elite.

  • Made For You

SmartBroom has been designed around the user.  Its invisible nature and simple user-interface allow SmartBroom to seamlessly integrate itself into your training regimen and game play.

SmartBroom is an invaluable tool that captures critical data, and aids in your success.  With a SmartBroom, you're not leaving your performance up to chance, but taking it into your own hands.
